A flexible clothing system helps a rider adapt when a cold start becomes a warmer afternoon.

Adventure riding kit has to work across a changing day. A road transit, a slow trail section and an evening at camp create different demands without necessarily requiring a separate outfit for each. Thinking in terms of the complete clothing system makes packing easier.

Making the idea work

Check fit and protection using the equipment's own guidance, then consider how the layers work together on the motorcycle. Keep items used during the day within reach. At the overnight stop, give damp kit a place of its own before repacking clothing that needs to stay dry.
