Flexible luggage suits a modest load when the rider wants to keep the bike easy to manage.

A good luggage arrangement helps the day flow. Tools, waterproofs and navigation essentials are used at different times from sleeping equipment, so they do not all need to live in the same bag. A consistent layout reduces the number of things unpacked at every stop.

Making the idea work

Load the motorcycle as it will travel and follow its specified carrying limits. Check fastening points and clearance, then take a short ride to become familiar with the result. Adjust the arrangement around what is actually used rather than filling every available space.
