Dakar 2026 Entry List Confirms Strong Motorcycle Field

Organisers have released the provisional entry list for Dakar 2026, confirming 142 motorcycle competitors across factory, satellite, and privateer categories. The field includes all major manufacturers and several high-profile returns from riders who skipped the 2025 edition due to injury or contractual disputes. Honda leads with five factory entries, followed by KTM and Husqvarna with four each. Hero MotoSports expands to three riders as the Indian manufacturer intensifies its Dakar commitment.

Notable entries include former champion Toby Price returning to full factory KTM support after a year with the satellite Tech3 squad. Sam Sunderland campaigns the Hero 450 Rally after departing GasGas, joining Ross Branch and Sebastian Buhler on the ambitious Indian programme. The Original by Motul category, reserved for riders without outside assistance, attracts its strongest field yet with 47 entries from 23 nationalities.
