Erzbergrodeo 2026 Entries Now Open
Registration for the 2026 Erzbergrodeo has officially opened, and organisers are warning potential participants that entries are expected to sell out within days based on pre-registration interest. The iconic Austrian hard enduro event, scheduled for May 28-31, 2026, attracted over 1,500 riders last year, with fewer than 30 completing the notorious Iron Giant course. Entry fees remain unchanged at €450 for the full event package including qualification races and the main Red Bull Hare Scramble.
Course modifications for 2026 include a redesigned Carl's Diner section that organisers promise will "maintain the challenge while improving spectator access." The infamous Machine checkpoints remain largely unchanged, though timing adjustments at the upper sections may allow slightly more finishers—a concession to criticism that recent editions have become so difficult that even professional riders struggle to reach the summit. The amateur qualification heats will use a modified prologue route designed to better evaluate rider skill while reducing first-day attrition.
